DESCRIPTION:Murdock International Piano Competition – Preliminary Round\nIn June 2026\, I will adjudicate the preliminary round of the\nMurdock International Piano Competition. The event takes place online from\nEugene\, Oregon. It brings together young pianists from many places.\nAs a result\, the preliminary stage offers a wide range of artistic ideas.\nIn addition\, it gives each performer a clear chance to show musical style and technical skill. \nCompetition Format\nThe first stage happens entirely online.\nFor example\, each competitor must follow the required repertoire list.\nIn addition\, every pianist must meet the competition rules and send a clean video recording.\nAfter that\, the review panel selects the strongest candidates.\nTherefore\, the process helps create a focused and balanced finalist group. \nLearn More\nFor more information about the organization behind the competition\, please visit the\nOregon Piano Institute. \nFor more information about my performances and adjudication work\, please visit my\nEvents page. Lecture demonstrations and the Meet the Artists series support further exploration of style\, technique\, and pedagogy. \nAmateurs Program\nFounded in 1996\, the Amateurs Program welcomes dedicated non-professional pianists seeking artistic growth. Participants gain valuable performance experience through recitals\, chamber music\, masterclasses\, and private lessons. A notable highlight is the opportunity to perform with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra\, fostering both artistic and personal development within a supportive community. \nJuniors Program\nIntroduced in 2018\, the Juniors Program serves younger pianists preparing for advanced training.
