SUMMARY:January 20\, 2026: Waco TX\, USA. Adjudicator for the "Semper Pro Musica – Carnegie Hall Recital" at Baylor University
DESCRIPTION:Semper Pro Musica – Adjudication at Baylor University\nOn January 20\, 2026\, I will serve as adjudicator for Baylor University’s Semper Pro Musica Competitions in Waco\, Texas. This event identifies the top performers who will appear at the Semper Pro Musica – Carnegie Hall Recital on May 21\, 2026\, at Weill Recital Hall in New York City. The competition includes soloists across piano\, strings\, voice\, brass\, woodwinds\, and percussion. In addition\, it features chamber groups preparing 20–30 minutes of approved repertoire. \n \n\nCompetition Structure\nThe First Round is organized by each performance area at Baylor. However\, only a limited number of students may advance to the Final Round. Piano may advance two competitors; strings two; voice three; brass one; woodwinds one; and percussion one. Moreover\, finalists must prepare memorized repertoire for the Carnegie performance. \nThe Final Round takes place on February 7\, 2026\, in Jones Concert Hall. Competitors must submit five bound copies of their score by January 21 at noon. Therefore\, students who advance must complete all score requirements to be eligible for the New York performance. \nCarnegie Hall Recital\nThree solo winners will travel to New York. Baylor University covers travel and hotel expenses. In addition\, winners from the chamber and organ divisions will also appear in associated New York events. \nFor details about Baylor University’s music programs\, visit the School of Music: \nhttps://www.baylor.edu/music/ \nRelated Work\nLearn more about my upcoming performances and adjudication activities on my Events page: \nhttps://enricoelisipiano.com/events/ \n  \nThis event features Enrico Elisi serving as adjudicator for the Semper Pro Musica Competitions at Baylor University.\nThe winners perform at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on May 21\, 2026.\nLearn more about the competition at https://music.baylor.edu/community/series-and-programs/semper-pro-musica-competition\nand explore additional events here: https://enricoelisipiano.com/events/.\n
