Undergraduate students Vanessa Yu (gold prize at the Steinway Piano Competition and winner of several top prizes at Chicago, Aegio, Iscart, Elevato International Competitions as well as “Città di San Donà di Piave” in Italy) and Naomi Wong (recipient of the 2021 Hnatyshyn Foundation Developing Artist Grant and winner of the IMFC Competition), as well as graduate student Jingquan Xie (winner of the Betty Dickinson Award at the 11th Texas State International Piano Festival, and prizewinner of the Tkaczewski International Piano Competition in Busko-Zdroj, Poland, and the Pacific Rim International Music Festival) perform in the Piano Laureates Recital in the Thursday Noon Series at the University of Toronto on October 28, 2021.
